The Green Woodpecker and The Sessile Oak

Quercus petraea is found in the wood pastures of southern Transylvania, where the Green Woodpecker also resides. This bird is generally difficult to observe, except in early spring before the foliage appears. At this time, there is a brief opportunity to see it. Life does not only resume to what one’s eyes can see. There is always more, always different than imagine, and this is the very reason of each journey.
