The Thrush and The Rowan

The Thrush and the Rowan are a popular pair in Transylvania, where I first observed them. While the Rowan offers its bright orange fruit for the Thrush to go through the harsh winter. In turn, the jolly bird makes sure to disperse the seeds and to act like an invisible gardener for the generous tree. This friendship is mutual and natural and talks about generosity in a season of frozen resources.

This art print is created using the giclee technique and is part of a limited series of 10 pieces, each numbered, hand-signed, and dated for the winter holiday of 2025-2026. All prints are A4 size and reproduce original artwork made with watercolor and graphite pencil. Reproductions are not permitted.
