Watercolor White Tulip, 1-session class ONLINE: Mar. 5
Description
March 5, EET 18.00-20.00
ONLINE, Live (En/Ro)
Tulips are always an excellent choice. Whether you’re refreshing your basic skills or aiming to refine your color mixing, these simply shaped flowers make ideal subjects for targeted, short exercises. Drawing itself is not our main focus in this class; that’s why I’ll email you a digital copy of my drawing, which you can transfer onto watercolor paper. However, you’re welcome to bring your own sketch or work from a live model during the session. Our primary focus will be on the color white—an intense, yet delicate hue with many intricate shades and variations. In this two-hour session, we’ll dive into color mixing, and shading techniques for white tones.
Required materials:
- One sheet of watercolor paper (A4 size, 300 gsm, hot pressed, satin finish).
- One sheet of transparent paper fro the drawing transfer
-
Pencil and eraser of your preference
-
A basic set of watercolor supplies, pointed-tip brushes (for example, Windsor & Newton Series 7, sizes 1 and 4) - a water container, and paper napkins.
This course is appropriate for individuals at both the beginner and intermediate levels.
This two-hour watch-and-practice format allows attendees to follow along as I demonstrate each step and provide detailed explanations; individuals may choose to observe or actively paint while listening. The class will be conducted in both English and Romanian, depending on the composition of the group.
Upon enrollment, which requires payment of a nonrefundable fee and submission of your address, you will receive a confirmation email, including a printable tulip drawing and the Zoom login link. I look forward to sharing a meaningful and creative experience with you.
