Watercolor Amaryllis Bulbs, 1-session class ONLINE with boxed supplies: Feb. 26

Amaryllis brings a touch of spring to our seasonal flowerpot collection and is always appreciated for its lush, beautiful blooms. This session will focus on capturing the sprouting bulb, highlighting its key colors, textures, and shades. It's an excellent opportunity to explore the geometry of light and shadow, and to practice working with greens and browns—two colors that can easily appear either too bright or too dull to look natural.

Before the class, you’ll receive a boxed set of tools by courier, which includes:

-              An Amaryllis bulb

-              A basic set of pigments and a beginner-friendly brush

-              A written guide for mixing greens and browns

You’ll need to supply your own paper and drawing pencils, as well as any extra materials you wish to use, such as brushes in various sizes or additional pigments.

This three-hour class will cover the drawing stage, color mixing, and painting.

Required materials:

-              One sheet of watercolor paper (A4 size, 300 gsm, hot pressed, satin finish).

-              Pencil and eraser of your preference 

-              A basic set of watercolor supplies, pointed-tip brushes (for example, Windsor & Newton Series 7, sizes 1 and 4) - co complement the tool kit,  a water container, and paper napkins.

This course is appropriate for individuals at both the beginner and intermediate levels.

This three-hour watch-and-practice format allows attendees to follow along as I demonstrate each step and provide detailed explanations; individuals may choose to observe or actively paint while listening. The class will be conducted in both English and Romanian, depending on the composition of the group.
